Please note that PostgreSQL is not backwards compatible, so you can’t restore a backup to a server with a lower version. For more information about upgrading PostgreSQL, see FAQ.
Installation of Intrasis 4 on a Windows server

Download the installation package
Click the button below to download the Intrasis installation package. -
Back up your Intrasis databases
Before making any changes, ensure all Intrasis databases are safely backed up. -
Stop the old PostgreSQL service

Stop the existing PostgreSQL service.

Change its startup type to Manual.

Leave it stopped — you cannot run two PostgreSQL servers at the same time.

Unzip the installation file
Extract the downloaded file to a suitable location on your computer. -
Start the installation

Run Intrasis_Installer_4.2.0.7741.exe.

The installer will suggest which components to install.

The default PostgreSQL version for a new installation is 17.6.

If your server uses an older version, tick the box for PostgreSQL 17 to install it.

Select components to install
Choose which parts of Intrasis you want to install.-
Recommended: Intrasis and Intrasis DB Administrator.

Optionally, you may also include the DB Converter if needed.

Apply any available patch
If a patch with the latest fixes is available, run it after installing Intrasis 4. -
Test the installation
Verify that Intrasis and the databases work correctly with PostgreSQL 17. -
Uninstall the old PostgreSQL version
Once testing is complete and all data works as expected, you can safely remove the old PostgreSQL installation.
